I am still looking for someone who is putting an order in for raw organic almonds. I am in southeastern Tennessee; and will pay for the shipping from wherever you are to me, if necessary. I would like to order 10 - 15 pounds of almonds.

thanks

The order will come in two 50# boxes. (I think. If we use the same ranch that we did last time, which is up in the air at the moment.) One 50# bag is about 9 full gallon Ziploc bags.

I know this only because when I teach nutrition classes, I sometimes take those bags for people to buy so when they get excited about the raw-almond treats I make, I don't have to say, "Sorry--you can't buy these anywhere anymore."

So, you can use gallon Ziploc bags. But see my post today for why I suggest anyone reading doesn't do this (break down orders). I've learned stuff like this the hard way. :-)

This is random, but I'm selling them in 5 lb increments, and it looks as if I have enough orders for 200 lbs. Do you package them in ziplock bags or something? I'm searching on-line for extra extra big bags, but am not having a lot of luck :)

1. You can make out one check or each family's check can be made out to GSG.com or to me personally--but send them all together, please, with a note explaining that they're all shipped to the same address.

2. If you charge $4/lb., the shipping would be included in that. So if you round up at least 1,100 lbs. of orders, YOU would be paying gsg.com $3.25/lb., so your profit would be $0.75/lb. or $825.

3. I frankly always have to wait a couple of days for people begging for an extension, so if you have the money in the mail on Oct. 30 and communicate with me about it, that's fine.

Ha ha, I am laughing a little, yes. I tried to get it down to a science this time, to avoid making my own spreadsheet and tracking everything . . . but of course we're working out bugs in the store and it hasn't been NEARLY as slick as I'd hoped. Still, I'm thrilled to see lots of people getting RAW almonds in their pantry!

Ok Robyn, don't mean to be stupid/slow here... but for those of us who are organizing a group buy in our area, how should we handle the money? ....

1. Should each individual make their checks out to greensmoothiegirl.com or to the local organizer - and then the local organizer one big check to you?

2. If we are willing to organize for your suggested price of $4/lb, the shipping is or is not included in that $4/lb price?

3. The offer closes Oct. 30th, for those that commit on deadline day, does the money need to be in your mailbox by that date or just the order placed by that date?

Thanks for your patience. Wow, I REALLY feel for you now! I sent out a simple e-mail, thinking all the bases were covered and look out e-mail box!

And this isn't even your full time job! You've gotta be sitting back laughing now while we experience a smidgen of what you do with all these e-mails and posts. Did you turn it loose on us so you could share in the load? ;)
