group buy coming up

We’re getting tons of emails wanting the details on the group buy of raw almonds and 15 other items (raw agave, other nuts/seeds, coconut oil, etc.). I’m sorry that getting the order form up on the new site has taken longer than expected (lots of variables, and my webmaster hasn’t learned how to use the new applications yet).

But we’re close. I hope to have it up sometime this week. (The whole GSG store will also be new–and better.)

One thing that’s different is that you’ll be able to buy in 50# increments rather than 100#. That should make those who want to buy ONLY for their own use (especially single folks or small families) happy. However, the $3/lb. starts at 100#. 50# will be $4/lb., still an excellent price.

Co-op organizers, remember you will need to enter a name of the recipient for each 100# so we meet California law.

What about 150#. Would that be 3.00 or $3 for the first 100#, and $4 for the 50# added?

  2. Babydoll says:

Do you have to live locally to participate in the group buys?

  3. kathy says:

I would like to be able to fill out a form for ordering some of the almonds.
I am still looking for others to participate also.

  4. Robyn Openshaw Robyn says:

We have two buys, with two order forms. One is for locals, no shipping cost (pick up in Lindon, Utah). Oh, and my marketing arm will do the same thing in the Denver area (pickup in Broomfield).

Everyone else will be directed to an order form for the SHIPPING order, anywhere U.S.A.

You can buy in 50# increments, above 100#, all of it for $3/lb. You pay the higher price only if you are buying ONLY 50#.

  5. Marisa says:

Are you going to offer shredded coconut? I thought I’d seen mentioned before, but I don’t see it on the drop down list under the group buy tab.

  6. Joelle says:

    Hello,

What are the other items, and when is the cut off for this?

    Thanks, Joelle

  7. Robyn Openshaw Robyn says:

It will be in the group buy. I just didn’t put any information about it (nutritionally) in that drop-down menu (which we’re still working on).

  8. Marisa says:

Okay, duh, that makes sense. I had told a friend about the price for shredded coconut (she uses a lot) and just wanted to make sure it was still available.

    Thanks!

  9. Toni says:

I must have missed the list, but what are the other items we’ll be able to order?

  10. Cathy says:

Can someone tell me how they store their almonds? Do they keep in the freezer for a long time?

    Thanks!

  11. kathy says:

Where do you get a form from?

  12. janelle says:

I wondered how much shipping costs are. I saw something about shipping, but it wasn’t clear if the price was for the almond buy or not. Please clarify.

  13. Joanne says:

Will people in Canada be able to get in on the group buy?

  14. Robyn Openshaw Robyn says:

Canadians, we can ship only to U.S. addresses. A few people had a shipment arrive across the border last year and they picked it up and drove it across.

  15. Robyn Openshaw Robyn says:

    1-600 lbs. shipping is $0.75/lb.

    601-1,100 lbs. shipping is $0.50/lb.

1,101 lbs. and higher, shipping is $0.25/lb.

  16. Kelli says:

How are individuals now allowed to buy 50 # instead of 100 #. I thought the legal loophole allowed 100#. What changed?

  17. Lori says:

What’s the weight of the olive oil?

  18. Linda says:

I’m in the Denver area and was excited to see a link on the group buy for my area. But, now it’s gone! Will this still be available?

    Thanks!
