Refined sugar in junk food

Each cube is a teaspoonful of sugar. (I wish the raw fruits and vegetables didn’t show sugar cubes, because the sugars in them are not refined and therefore so much better.)

Thanks so much for the visual…I called my homeschoolers over to look and they were stunned. Since they help with cooking, they really understand about each cube being a teaspoon.

And since sugar feeds cancer, we can see how we’re growing it…

I’m going to use that for a class I am teaching tomorrow. I am teaching 16-18 year old girls about healthy food. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to focus on?

Christmas is here, and I can’t play with the kids, I don’t want the kids to know that I am having it bad, but I need help, am I on the right path? are raw foods can heal, even people like me?

Samantha, I would never make guarantees about “cures.” But we didn’t have degenerative disease until we had refined/processed/cooked food. And cultures that eat whole foods don’t get arthritis and other “modern” lifestyle diseases. I have heard hundreds of stories from my readers about a very broad base of health problems improving or even disappearing as they turned to greens, vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds as the basis of the diet. (In that order.) Wonderful things can happen when you nourish your body the way it was meant to be fueled.

    Much love,
    Robyn

Thank you, my new friend, Its just been so hard, and sometimes you need some outside help to know that I am on my way to a new journey, Thank you for walking a few steps with me, It made my world when you know that I am not alone ;) Randy (my husband) is a great support and I am grateful to have him, but I always feel I put to much…you know what I mean?I will be getting the holiday, 101 healthy lunches, and the green smoothies books very soon,my family loves your foods ( already have 12 steps) I figured out some of my mistakes..not enough greens and smoothies. Thanks Robyn for everything, you have healed my family and me :) Hugs Samantha Merry Christmas

Love your website. I came upon it looking for green smoothie recipes on the web. The comment I want to make has to do with the sugar cubes and fruit. There IS a big difference between getting your sugar from fruit vs added to foods. I don’t know if you have watched Robert Lustig’s program “Sugar: The Bitter Truth” (which you can easily google and Youtube) but he basically teaches how sugar is as bad for your liver as alcohol. He says that when God made the poison he also made the antidote which is fiber. Fruit has both. I would recommend anyone wanting incentive to kick the sugar habit to watch this program.
