Susan, There is a product made by the Dr. Christopher company called kidney formula. I have used many of their products and am pleased with all of them. All of their products are made from organic herbs.

Does anyone know if there is a natural way to detoxify your kidneys or improve kidney functioning? My husband is experiencing kidney troubles and is having an ultrasound on his kidneys today. He is getting into the greensmoothie 12 step program with me and wanted me to ask.

Hi Robyne,
Your theory makes sense.
I would add one more thought (based on my own experience): If I find myself eating poorly, I'm fully aware of it - there is no denying that I'm eating junk. This may result in an overall negative feeling about myself to begin with, which may subconsciously contribute to depression.

I also have to second what Tricia, above, said about being properly hydrated. I really don't think most people have any idea how important it is to be truly hydrated.

If I could retweet this then yeah I would...hint hint.
But anyway I think the biggest testimony of this is how I feel eating the way I do versus how I used to feel. I used to always get depressed. I left my mission early because my mood was so unstable. Sad thing too...(another story for some other day)
I also (somewhat recently) realized that I could immediately get out of a depressed funk when I was fully hydrated. If I just drank two big glasses of pure water then my mood would suddenly be elevated. AMAZING!
